Install the Whalestack Plugin

Download the Whalestack plugin or find it in the WordPress plugin search on your website. Activate the plugin after successful installation.

Configure API Keys

Retrieve your API keys, and input them into the Whalestack WooCommerce crypto payment plugin settings. Then, save your changes to enable cryptocurrency payments for your site.

You can locate the settings here: WooCommerce -> Settings -> Payments. To access it, click the Manage button within the Whalestack payments plugin settings page.

Plugin Configuration

Payment Method Title

Customize the title of the payment method displayed on your checkout page. Default: "Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies."

Payment Method Description

Craft a brief description of the payment method to appear on the checkout page. Default: "Pay with BTC, LTC, XLM, USDC, EURC."

Settlement Currency Selection

Choose the currency in which you'd like to receive your payments. If not specified, the payment currency will be used.

URLs and Webhook Setup

Automatically generated return, cancel, and webhook URLs streamline order processing. Orders transition to processing (for physical goods) or completed (for downloadable/virtual items) upon successful payment.

Debug Log Activation

Enable or disable debug logs to monitor API requests and responses. The log file path is displayed for your reference.

Tax And Checkout Settings

Rounding Settings

Configure rounding in your WooCommerce settings by navigating to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Tax and checking the Rounding option (Round tax at subtotal level, instead of rounding per line). This ensures precise calculation alignment between the Whalestack hosted checkout page and the WooCommerce checkout page.

Tax Compliance and Invoice Generation

To maintain tax compliance and facilitate automatic invoice generation, please ensure the following fields are provided in the checkout form: First Name, Last Name, Email, Address, ZIP Code, City, and Country. While these fields are mandatory on the WooCommerce checkout form, if you've customized them, please take note.

Internationalization

Translation Process

To translate the plugin into your language, we recommend using the Poedit software. Follow these steps to complete the translation process with ease:

Download and install the Poedit software.
Navigate to the plugins/whalestack-for-woocommerce/languages/ folder and copy the .pot file to your desktop for editing.
Open the .pot file and create a new translation for your language.
Translate all text strings as needed.
Save your translations as a .po file. Please use the correct naming convention, such as whalestack-de_DE.po for the German language.
Saving will automatically generate a whalestack-de_DE.mo file.
Copy both the .po and .mo files into the plugins/whalestack-for-woocommerce/languages/ folder.
