USDC is now Available as Settlement and Payment Option for Online Businesses on COINQVEST
We're pleased to announce that, as of today, one of the most trusted stablecoins, USDC by Centre, is available as settlement option for COINQVEST enabled online shops and businesses.
UPDATE: March 10th 2021: USDC is now the default USD asset on COINQVEST.
We're pleased to announce that, as of today, one of the most trusted stablecoins, USDC by Centre, is available as settlement option for COINQVEST enabled online shops and businesses.
As a merchant you can now choose whether you want to be credited in AnchorUSD or Centre's USD Coin when a checkout completes. You can also choose USDC as base currency for conversion rates in your charge details.
Using Stellar's unparalleled decentralized exchange, conversion from native Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, or any asset or stablecoin on the Stellar Network only takes seconds. Settlement of USDC is possible into your custodial COINQVEST wallet or directly into your own non-custodial account. Customers in your shops can now also select to use their own USDC (or any other stablecoin on Stellar) to pay you using path payments.
How To Use USDC
For the time being, AnchorUSD will continue to be our default billing and settlement currency for USD on the platform. (UPDATE: March 10th 2021: USDC is now the default USD asset on COINQVEST.) However, if you wish to use USDC instead it is as simple as explicitly specifying it in your API requests or the browser-based Create Checkout UI for ad-hoc payment requests.
Setting USDC in the UI
Click "Create Checkout" from your dashboard and find the "Specify Asset Issuer (advanced)" link below the list of available billing currencies in the new window.
In the new dialogue select "Centre Consortium LLC (centre.io)" as your asset issuer.
Setting USDC in the API
Set the USDC asset issuer id (USDC:GA5ZSEJYB37JRC5AVCIA5MOP4RHTM335X2KGX3IHOJAPP5RE34K4KZVN
) as your billing and/or settlement currency in your POST /checkout
requests as documented here.
In its simplest form a checkout request with USDC would look like this.
{
"charge":{
"currency":"USDC:GA5ZSEJYB37JRC5AVCIA5MOP4RHTM335X2KGX3IHOJAPP5RE34K4KZVN",
"lineItems":[
{
"description":"T-Shirt",
"netAmount":10.00
}
]
}
}
Thanks and Enjoy!
